Carnivorous Kibble

  • 2 cups  whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup rye flour
  • 1 cup nonfat dry milk powder
  • 1 teaspoon bone meal
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 cups (about 1 lb) cooked ground beef, pork or veal
Preheat over to 350 degrees and great a large baking sheet. In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat and rye flours, milk powder and bonemeal. In a small bowl, beat eggs and blend in oil, then stir in garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Add water to flour mixture and blend well. Fold in egg mixture and mix thouroughly. Add meat and press it into dough evenly. Spread mixture 1/2 inch thick on bakingsheet and bake 45 minutes. Cool kibble, then break into bite-size chunks. Refridgerate and serve within 2 days or freeze in individual portions. Makes 4 cups of kibble.
